SCREAMWEEK: The end

The preview of the box office and the critics + audience scores for SCREAM and the latest events of SCREAMWEEK.

The official release day for SCREAM was much quieter than the past ones. Friday the 14th had a lot of reviews coming out, including mine. But it was also the final round-up for promotion.

Jack Quaid was the last SCREAM guest on The Drew Barrymore Show and, man, he is someone we can look up to when it comes to sweaters and trenchcoats. His wardrobe to the promotion of the movie was flawless and he also screams very entertainingly.

Jack also joined Mason Gooding to play Among Us with top streamers Tina Kitten, 5Upps, Noah J, Kara Corvus, and Chilled Chaos to announce the horror icon’s mask and robe will be available in-game at a later date.

Box Office information predicts that SCREAM is set to dethrone Spider-Man: No Way Home. According to Variety, it grossed $13.35 million on Friday from 3,664 locations. The studio projects that the horror film should rake in a solid $36 million over the four-day Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, more than enough to land at No. 1 for the weekend.

SCREAM has cost $25 million to produce and this, per se already configures a win for the studio as well for the moviegoers. At the moment, the film holds a 76% critical aggregate and 86% general audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a “B+” CinemaScore rating, and a 7.5/10 on IMDB, indicating overall approval.

To celebrate that, the last days were amazing trips to memory lane with BTS photos from the crew of the new movie and also from the first one. Especially this never-seen-before video from David Arquette:

Arquette and some of the new cast visited some of the movie screenings last night to surprise the audience and the videos are here, here, and here.

Also, don’t forget to check those amazing articles, videos, and interviews from the past few days.

All of those are essential for die-hard fans, but if you are an addict to what-ifs and movie trivia, like me, the Horror Queer pod is a must. For instance, he details his ideas for SCREAM 3, SCREAM 4 (Sidney was supposed to be attacked in the first scene, and then he used that on The Following) and the conclusion on SCREAM 5 & 6 – that obviously never happened and involved Emma Roberts being blackmailed by another killer on college.
