The Scream VI score takes a bold new approach, reflecting the film’s larger-than-life New York setting and elevated intensity. Composed by Brian Tyler and Sven Faulconer, the music innovates while respecting the franchise’s legacy, seamlessly blending beloved classic themes with fresh motifs that heighten the suspense and emotion of the series.
Like Scream (2022), Scream VI did not release an album featuring the songs used in the film. While standout tracks written for the movie, like Demi Lovato’s “Still Alive” and “In My Head” by Mike Shinoda feat. Kailee Morgue, are part of the film’s sonic identity, they are not included on the score’s physical media releases.
For collectors and fans of the franchise, the score-only release continues a trend that focuses on the atmospheric brilliance of the music, available in both digital and physical formats, including CD and vinyl.
Released on March 10, 2023, by Varèse Sarabande.
A New Musical Chapter
Brian Tyler returns after his solo work on Scream (2022), bringing his expertise from projects like Fast X, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Yellowstone. Joining him is Sven Faulconer, making his feature co-composer debut after contributing to Top Gun: Maverick, Aquaman, and Ad Astra. Together, they craft a score that is as thrilling and monumental as the film itself.
Tyler explains, “This score reflects the larger setting and heightened stakes of Scream VI. It’s a mix of legacy and innovation, just like the film.”
