While promoting her new film Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, Hayden Panettiere shared her thoughts on Scream 4 during an interview with On The Red Carpet. The actress reflected on her careful script selection and the excitement of joining such an iconic franchise.

“It’s an honor. It really is. Having spent four years on a show where it’s in the sci-fi sort of family, you tend to get a lot of scripts having to do with horror films and thrillers. And it’s something I wanted to be very careful about which one I chose to do.”

Hayden praised the involvement of the original cast and the legendary Wes Craven as key reasons for accepting the role:

“When Scream [4] came along and having the original cast involved and having Wes Craven direct it, it just seemed like an amazing project that I just wanted to be involved in.”

Although she hasn’t yet seen the final cut of the film, she remains optimistic:

“I haven’t seen it yet, I haven’t. But I’ve heard it’s amazing.”

Despite tough questions from reporters, Hayden proves she’s ready to handle the spotlight—though hopefully, her Scream 4 character fares as well against Ghostface!
