Production designer Michele Laliberté wasn’t a fan of slashers when she first got the script of SCREAM VI, a movie that, to this day (04/04), amounts to an impressive box office record of $147,666,105 (Worldwide) within 3 weeks since its opening. Happily, she was swayed to partake in the production due to the brilliance and excitement of Radio Silence.
The Montreal native, with a background in architecture and theater design, was eventually turned into a passionate connoisseur of the subgenre; a level of expertise that could live up to a STAB trivia showdown with Mindy Meeks-Martin or Kirby Reed.
In a very generous and insightful interview, Laliberté spoke (and showed in fantastic detail) some very interesting material from the creation of the sixth and most ambitious entry of the SCREAM franchise.
The conversation goes into incredible places, bringing to die-hard fans lots of trivia, curiosities, and never-seen visuals that will make you appreciate – even more – the filmmakers and the talented crew behind it.
