Lucy Hale, one of the fresh faces joining the Scream 4 cast, shared her behind-the-scenes experience in the January issue of Teen Vogue. While promoting her other projects, Hale took a moment to reflect on her involvement in Wes Craven’s cult-favorite franchise, describing it as both thrilling and, at times, frightening.
“I was pretty terrified while I was shooting,” Hale admitted. “There’s a lot of blood, a lot of screaming, and, well, it’s a Wes Craven movie.” Laughing, she added, “I’m a huge horror-movie addict, and it was really amazing to be part of a cult classic.”
Hale’s enthusiasm for horror made her role in Scream 4 even more special, despite the “traumatic” nature of the shoot. Fans of the actress and the franchise alike are eager to see how her character fits into the bloody chaos when the film hits theaters.
