Personal Milestone: my artwork featured on the official ‘Scream’ Blu-Ray boxed set.
Just received an email from my friend, Lito Velasco, the producer of “INSIDE STORY: SCREAM,” and it came with an astonishing surprise tailored just for me.
I’m talking about a personal surprise here.
A few months back, I had the opportunity to create some artwork designs for this incredible documentary, masterfully crafted by such a talented crew. Little did I know that my work would be forever etched onto the label of the official SCREAM Blu-Ray boxed set.
Lito, I can’t thank you enough for everything!
SCREAM
After a series of mysterious deaths befalls their small town, an offbeat group of friends led by Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) become the target of a masked killer in this smash-hit “clever thriller” (The Washington Post) that launched the SCREAM franchise and breathed new life into the horror genre.
SCREAM 2
Away at college, Sidney Prescott (Campbell) thought she’d finally put the shocking murders that shattered her life behind her…until a copycat killer begins acting out a real-life sequel. Now, as history repeats itself, ambitious reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), deputy Dewey (David Arquette), and other SCREAM survivors find themselves trapped in a terrifyingly clever plotline where no one is safe – or beyond suspicion – in this “delicious, diabolical and fun” (Rolling Stone) sequel.
SCREAM 3
While Sidney Prescott (Campbell) lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begin dropping around the Hollywood set of “Stab 3,” the latest movie based on the gruesome Woodsboro killings. The escalating terror finally brings Sidney out of hiding, drawing her and the other survivors once again into an insidious game of horror movie mayhem that’s “suspenseful, clever and very entertaining” (NBC-TV) installment in the wildly popular Scream franchise.
STILL SCREAMING: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective
In 1996, Kevin Williamson’s screenplay (originally called Scary Movie) was brought to the screen by Wes Craven. Intended to pay homage to the grandfather of slasher films, Halloween, while also creating a new horror franchise, the movie SCREAM single-handedly revived the slasher genre for a new generation of audiences. STILL SCREAMING combines extensive interviews with cast and crew from SCREAM 1-4, film clips and footage, as well as rare photos and behind-the-scenes film, to track how this smart franchise reinvigorated a dull and outdated genre with a smart mix of social commentary, self-awareness, humor and scares – to cement itself alongside such major horror franchises as Friday The 13th.
SCREAM: THE INSIDE STORY
When Scream was unleashed in theaters, it shattered box office records for horror, introduced director Wes Craven to new audiences, and turned screenwriter Kevin Williamson and the film’s hot young cast into overnight stars. In this 90-minute includes how Craven originally didn’t want to direct the film, and how the production met with delays and objections to its violent content. Despite these obstacles and meager expectations from the industry, learn how Scream went on to beat the odds, becoming one of the most successful horror franchises in history.
