• Harper Duval: A 16-year-old beauty with a reflective, introverted nature that sets her apart from her popular peers. Struggling with guilt over drifting away from her former best friend Audrey, Harper’s saving grace is her close bond with her mom, Maggie.
• Audrey Jesen: Harper’s ex-BFF, a “bi-curious” pastor’s daughter who’s more artsy and enigmatic than traditionally pretty. Audrey dreams of becoming a filmmaker and is supported by her tech-savvy confidante, Noah.
• Noah Foster: The witty, tech-genius best friend of Audrey, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture and a sense of humor reminiscent of John Cusack in his prime.
• Margaret “Maggie” Duval: Harper’s mother, the town’s medical examiner. Beneath her professional and composed exterior lies a dark secret tied to the town’s past.

Behind the Scenes

The creative team has undergone a few changes. While Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie were originally tapped to write the pilot, Jill E. Blotevogel (Harper’s Island, Eureka) has taken over screenwriting duties.

Despite the shifts, there’s hope that Wes Craven remains attached to direct the pilot, preserving the franchise’s legacy.
