Every Scream sequel begins with the same question: will Neve Campbell reprise her role as Sidney Prescott? The answer wasn’t always clear, especially after the third installment. However, during the premiere of Away We Stay in London, Campbell revealed to The Telegraph what ultimately brought her back to the franchise for Scream 4.
“I was happy with the first three films we did in the series and thought we should leave it on a high,” she said, reflecting on her initial reluctance to return.
The Persuasion
This time, the push to reprise Sidney came from Dimension Films. Campbell admitted that the studio convinced her there was more to explore in the Scream franchise, reigniting her interest in stepping back into the role of Sidney Prescott, one of horror’s most iconic final girls of all time.
