The 20th of January of 2021 was filled with celebration and remembrance towards SCREAM and Wes Craven. The 1996 cult classic completed 25 years since its release and it was a busy date for fans who intended to keep up with everything that kept popping up on several media outlets.

But let’s start with the one that HelloSidney.com was directly involved with: the launching of the original SCREAM on Movie Mate, Facebook‘s second-screen experience that takes place on Messenger.

How does it work? You access the chat with the official SCREAM profile on the button below and select how you intend to watch the film (buying the 4K restoration or streaming it). Then, you select another level: if you’re watching it for the first time or if you are a die-hard fan.

This website collaborated with trivia and some rare images that you will get on your messenger convo while you are in sync with the film. It was an honor to participate in this project with Facebook Creative Shop, Spyglass Media Group, and Paramount Pictures. Thank you for including us!

And, to whoever still isn’t satisfied and wants more behind-the-scenes fun facts, two oral stories were published on The Ringer and Entertainment Weekly‘s website.

EW even published a few rare shots of the film (see our slider on the top of the page), giving a sneak peek at what’s to come on The Ultimate Guide to Scream that they are publishing on four days.

And lastly, but surely not least, a featurette dedicated to Wes Craven has hit us where it hurts. The new film is dedicated to one of the men who made it all possible.
