Neve Campbell and Matthew Lillard reunite in Michigan: a Scream friendship off-screen.

Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) and Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher), who briefly dated during the filming of Scream and Scream 2, reunited for a quiet dinner last Thursday. The ex-couple, now close friends, were spotted by fans at eve the restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan, while Campbell was in town filming Scream 4.
Ann Arbor local Lori Milliman shared her experience with the encounter:
“We tried to take pics, but she covered her face two times, and then we decided to leave her alone for the rest of the evening,” Milliman wrote. “As she was leaving, my friend caught her attention, and we asked if we could snap a picture. She obliged. I honestly think she was surprised we didn’t jump up and get in it with her!”
Though some fans speculated that Lillard’s presence in Michigan was related to Scream 4, it was confirmed he’s actually filming Home Run Showdown. Creator Kevin Williamson had previously noted that bringing back “dead” characters felt “tacky,” though fans remain hopeful for a cameo, like his brief return as an extra in Scream 2.
