Ghostface has found his home. Scream 5 will be co-produced by Spyglass Media Group & Paramount Pictures, with filming set to begin this summer.
The next chapter in the Scream franchise has officially secured its studio partnership. Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures will co-produce Scream 5, bringing the iconic slasher series back under the banner of a major Hollywood powerhouse.
As first reported by Variety, Paramount will handle marketing and global distribution of the film across all media, with Spyglass retaining rights in select international markets and domestic Pay-1 television deals.
Filming Begins Soon
Production is set to kick off in late summer 2020 in Wilmington, North Carolina, a location that has already housed several horror classics. As anticipation builds, fans can expect more casting announcements in the coming weeks.
With Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) directing and James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick penning the script, the stage is set for Ghostface’s long-awaited return.
