It was supposed to be just a harmless Instagram story. A beautiful sunset, the new generation of Scream 5 stars celebrating the end of another day of filming… and then, a tagging of Heather Matarazzo.
The now-deleted video, originally posted by Melissa Barrera, must have raised some eyebrows at Paramount’s office in Hollywood.
But that wasn’t the only slip-up.
Social Media “Mistakes” or Unofficial Confirmations?
Not long before, Marley Shelton posted a photo celebrating her return as Deputy Judy Hicks—and tagged (select the following text to read the possible spoiler) Skeet Ulrich in it. Ulrich’s Billy Loomis has been dead since 1996… right?
Neither of these social media reveals have been officially confirmed, but they might just be our first real evidence of cameos in Scream 5.

Martha Meeks (Matarazzo) was last seen in Scream 3, briefly appearing to deliver Randy’s posthumous survival tape. If she’s back, that means the Meeks family legacy is still alive in Woodsboro.
