The two reigning queens of Scream—Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox—are gracing the spotlight once again! In a recent interview with Health magazine, Neve opened up about various aspects of her life, including her blossoming relationship with co-star Courteney Cox during the filming of Scream 4.
When asked about Courteney’s remarks on their friendship, Neve replied with warmth:
“We fell in love with each other! (Laughs) She’s one of the coolest women I’ve ever met.”
The admiration is mutual. Courteney expressed her affection for Neve in a previous Entertainment Tonight interview, saying:
“I worked with her in the first three Scream movies and I liked her then, but I really wasn’t close to her. We were nice to each other and socialized a little bit, but for some reason Scream 4—that’s when we clicked. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I missed out on all these great years with you.’ She’s a really cool, soulful person, and I’m so glad I got to know her during this one.”
This newfound bond is a far cry from the false rumors that circulated over a decade ago about a strained relationship between the two. It’s heartwarming to see the pair rekindle and deepen their friendship after years of working together.
Fans can rejoice knowing that Scream 4 brought these two scream queens closer than ever—both on-screen and off.
