“Burn It All Down”: Scream 7 Ignites a New Nightmare

Ghostface is back, and nothing’s sacred. From burning Woodsboro to haunting Sidney again — Scream 7 is pure chaos waiting to ignite. Check the new teaser poster, trailer and photos!

Just in time for Halloween, Paramount and Spyglass have unleashed the first official teaser poster and trailer for Scream 7, along with a haunting set of stills that bring back familiar faces and mark the franchise’s newest reinvention.

The tagline — “BURN IT ALL DOWN” — isn’t just a threat. It’s a manifesto.

Burning the past

The trailer opens with Michelle Randolph and Jimmy Tatro as a couple spending the night in an Airbnb — which fans quickly recognize as the infamous 261 Turner Lane, better known as Stu Macher’s house.

Their getaway spirals into a nightmare when Ghostface returns, attacking them in a sequence soaked in orange firelight. Later, the killer whispers the line that mirrors the teaser poster’s imagery:

I’m going to burn it all down.

The house of Woodsboro’s original massacre goes up in flames, reflected in the killer’s blade — just as teased in the poster.

The burning of Stu’s house — the stage of the first film’s climax — serves as both literal destruction and symbolic rebirth. If Scream (2022) resurrected the location, Scream 7 obliterates it.

Sidney Prescott’s quiet exile

The story shifts to Pine Grove, where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) now lives a quieter life with her husband Mark Evans (Joel McHale) and teenage daughter Tatum (Isabel May). The name is a heartfelt tribute to Sidney’s late best friend, the unforgettable Rose McGowan from the 1996 classic.

In the trailer, Tatum appears in both tender and adrenaline-fueled moments, joined by her two closest friends, played by McKenna Grace and Celeste O’Connor, in a shot clearly echoing Laurie Strode, Annie, and Lynda from Halloween (1978) — three girls caught between innocence and a grim future.

Ghostface eventually calls Sidney directly:

Hello, Sidney. Did you miss me?

Now the owner of a cozy café called The Little Latte, Sidney serves coffee to locals — and hides a fully equipped panic room behind its walls. It’s the kind of darkly poetic irony only Scream could deliver: the woman who’s faced every Ghostface imaginable now lives on caffeine and paranoia.

The ghosts of Woodsboro

As tension builds, a chilling voice cuts through the static of Sidney’s phone — Dewey Riley (David Arquette), probably recreated through artificial intelligence:

All your friends died… just for being near you.

It’s both cruel and tragic — a reflection of our time, where technology once again becomes a vessel for trauma.

Like every Scream before it, this moment mirrors the fears of its era: if the original dissected media obsession and the later sequels explored online notoriety, Scream 7 stares straight into the unsettling frontier of artificial intelligence — where even the dead can speak, and the line between memory and manipulation blurs.

The trailer closes with the unmistakable voice of Matthew Lillard, resurrecting Stu Macher with one wicked promise:

This is gonna be fun.

First Scream 7 stills

The newly released stills from Paramount feature:

Neve Campbell, armed and tense, prowling through the dark interiors of Pine Grove.

Isabel May inside the Evans house, surrounded by framed bird illustrations — a quiet nod to Wes Craven’s lifelong fascination with ornithology.

Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, in her signature bold red blazer, standing under the eerie glow of streetlights.

Ghostface, framed between stone arches, knife gleaming in the orange haze.

A behind-the-scenes glimpse shows Campbell with Kevin Williamson, suggesting a sequence set on a television studio — a nod, perhaps, to Gale Weathers’ media roots and the franchise’s ever-present commentary on fame and fear.

Scream 7 hits theaters February 27, 2026 — ready to burn the past, and every rule with it.
