Confirmed by Variety, the news thrilled fans of the Scream franchise who have embraced Mindy as a standout character in the series’ modern era. Known for her sharp humor, fearless energy, and meta-horror brilliance, Mindy has quickly become a fan favorite, embodying the franchise’s unique blend of scares and wit.

Mindy made history as the Scream franchise’s first openly queer character. Her inclusion, along with the diverse cast of the last two films, reflected a fresh direction for the series. This diversity resonated with audiences, breathing new life into the franchise while showcasing characters that better reflected the world today.

The Meeks-Martin

Brown won’t face Ghostface alone—her on-screen twin brother, Chad Meeks-Martin, played by Mason Gooding, will also return.
