Her tour brings her back to her hometown of Woodsboro, coinciding with the anniversary of the original murders. The town, morbidly fascinated by its grisly history, now “celebrates” this grim occasion.
Behind this questionable maneuver is Sidney’s sensationalist publicist, Rebecca Walters (played by Alison Brie). Walters strategically shifted the book tour stop to Woodsboro, likely to capitalize on the eerie connection. For the locals, it’s an off-season Halloween—but for Sidney, it’s a haunting return.
