Start your engines, because SCREAM 6 is about to roll. Courteney Cox has just confirmed, during a podcast interview with Variety‘s Marc Malkin, that her first draft has been signed, sealed, and delivered to her.

Malkin: When do you start shooting the sequel to the re… [requel, reboot]?
Cox: The relaunch?
Malkin: Yeah!
Cox: I got the script yesterday!
Malkin: You did?
Cox: And I haven’t read it yet. I just got it. I’m so used to getting, you know, SHINING VALE scripts which are, you know, 26 pages. And what now? [laughs] Gonna read ‘a’ script! And, anyway I’m excited to read it and I know they’re going to start filming, I think in June in Canada. Oh, I’m not allowed to say anything! [laughs]

The next step will be probably what happened in the last chapter: the legacy cast making their collaborative suggestions to James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick and all the fun will begin again.
