Last month was Pride Month and also Courteney Cox‘s birthday (June 15th). So, it was time for a classic meme to be relived: the trademarked fluorescent colors of Gale Weathers wardrobe disposed of in a rainbow. Well, it will need an update after Cox was spotted, last weekend, on the set of SCREAM 6 (or possibly SCREAM !!), in the most beautiful blue pantsuit and lime green pumps.

It wasn’t quite a new color for her – at the end of SCREAM (2022) she was literally “dark blue”, sort of expressing in the outfit her grief for Dewey (David Arquette).

The tone, a little more lightened now, follows the stakes that were set by costume designer Cynthia Bergstrom in the first film. Gale is a reporter, loves the spotlight, and wants to be seen. The costume designer of SCREAM 6, Avery Plewes understood and nailed the assignment.

In the set, where she seems to be arguing (again) with Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), was shot in front of a Police Station and had also the presence of Tara (Jenna Ortega).

SCREAM 6 seems to be centered on these three characters – and we will have to wait until March 31, 2023, to see all of them painted in red on the usual bloody third act. Let’s hope all of them survive.
