Scream 7: Neve Campbell reveals filming schedule

Neve Campbell confirms ‘Scream 7’ filming in December and shares her thoughts on horror films.

Neve Campbell spoke with Indiewire and revealed some exciting news for “Scream” fans: the seventh installment of the iconic horror franchise is set to begin filming in December.

I’m very, very happy it’s happening,” Campbell shared. “We were supposed to start in September, but we’re going to start in December now because of some scheduling stuff with Kevin (Williamson) and myself and having that all aligned. And actually, I think it’s a good thing, because we’re going to be able to have the time to get it really right. So I’m very excited about it.

Campbell also talked up about her relationship with horror films. Despite being a legendary scream queen, she confessed that watching horror movies isn’t something she enjoys.

I’m afraid I’m not. I should! I struggle to watch horror movies, I really do,” Campbell said. “I’ve always felt like it’s just not my thing. I don’t like the experience of sitting and watching and getting scared. Some people really love it, but I also know they can be fantastic. So I probably should sit down and watch some of them.

Despite her personal reluctance towards the genre, Campbell is enthusiastic about returning to ‘Scream 7‘, which will be directed by original writer Kevin Williamson. Her excitement highlights her dedication to the franchise and her role as Sidney Prescott, a character beloved by fans.

As production gears up for December, fans can look forward to a meticulously crafted film that promises to honor the legacy of ‘Scream’ while bringing fresh thrills to the screen. Neve Campbell’s return, paired with Kevin Williamson’s direction, sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in this storied franchise. Stay tuned for more updates as ‘Scream VII‘ prepares to terrify audiences.
