Neve Campbell hints at franchise return to roots & teases co-stars involvement.
In a day packed with press appearances to promote her ballet documentary “Swan Song,” now streaming everywhere, Neve Campbell faced a barrage of questions about the much-anticipated “Scream 7.” While her initial interview on Good Morning America was tight-lipped, subsequent segments offered more substantial hints about the upcoming film.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Campbell revealed, “We are going to follow Sidney,” likening her return to the franchise to Jamie Lee Curtis’ revival of the Halloween series. Campbell shared that the concept pitched to her was compelling enough to make her eager to join, despite not yet having received the final script, which she expects this week.
When pressed about Patrick Dempsey‘s involvement, Campbell responded playfully with a “may-haps.” Her reaction to questions about Courteney Cox suggested a strong likelihood of her return, with the journalist noting Campbell’s telling response.
Reports indicate that both Cox and Dempsey are in discussions to reprise their roles alongside Campbell. Life&Style magazine recently reinforced this speculation, reporting that Courteney Cox has enlisted her best friend Jennifer Aniston to help her get into top shape for “Scream 7.”
