Scream 5 at CCXP Worlds

A familiar voice sent Scream 5 fans into a frenzy during Brazil’s CCXP Worlds. Did we just get confirmation of a major legacy return? Watch the footage and decide.

During CCXP Worlds, Brazil’s massive pop culture convention, Scream fans were treated to a brief but electrifying teaser featuring cast members of the upcoming fifth film — and a soundbite that may have confirmed what we’ve all been dying to hear.

What We Saw

The exclusive video showcased:

  • Neve Campbell in her soon-to-be-iconic new look

  • The next generation cast gathered on the staircase of a very familiar house — none other than Stu Macher’s place, which now appears to be owned by a female character

  • And then… that voice

“Hello, Sidney.”

Though no official confirmation was given, fans quickly picked up on the unmistakable tone: Roger L. Jackson, the chilling voice of Ghostface, was back — at least vocally — in the clip.

Unless the studio is pulling an elaborate fake-out (which, let’s be honest, Scream is absolutely capable of), this teaser all but confirms that Jackson is returning for his fifth round of phone terror.

It wouldn’t be Scream without him.

Jackson has been the voice behind the mask since 1996, and his performance remains one of the most iconic — and terrifying — vocal signatures in horror history. While Ghostface may change faces with every film, the voice has always been his constant.

And if that really was Roger in the teaser, then Scream 5 is already one step closer to feeling like home.
