Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega — soon to be known as Samantha and Tara Carpenter, respectively — recently gave fans a small but delightful peek into the making of Scream 5 (aka Scream 2022) through a pair of Instagram Lives.

There are no spoilers, of course, but everything coming from these two is a treat for fans to watch.

In one of the videos, Melissa is interviewed by longtime friend Jonathan Montero, where she opens up about:

• The process of being cast as Sam Carpenter

• Building chemistry with the directors and fellow cast members

• Filming during a pandemic

• And her fangirl moment meeting Courteney Cox for the first time

Jenna Ortega: “I Don’t Want to Be the Tom Holland of Scream“

In the second video, Ortega hilariously tries (and struggles) not to drop any spoilers. At one point, she jokingly says:

“I don’t want to be the Tom Holland of the Scream franchise.”

Relatable? Completely.

The video also includes English subtitles for the hearing impaired, and I’ll make sure to keep adding them moving forward whenever possible.
