Since the filming of Scream 4, after some creative problems and very recently a lawsuit, Kevin Williamson left the franchise for good. Right now he is developing a new TV show, called The Following, where the plot seems to be a version of the Screamverse – without Ghost Face and Sidney Prescott renamed to Sarah Fuller (Maggie Grace).
