While promoting her new comedy You Again alongside legendary Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis, actress Kristen Bell dropped some hints about her cameo in the highly anticipated Scream 4.
When asked about her role in the upcoming horror sequel, Bell confirmed:
“I am in the movie, I will say that. I don’t know if I can say much more than that, but it’s a really, really fun movie and everyone loves it as much as they did the first one.”
When pressed about her character’s fate—could she meet an iconic end like Drew Barrymore in the original film?—Bell teased:
“It doesn’t go down like you think it does. But it was fun doing it, that’s what I’ll say. I loved being a part of the movie.”
The biggest question among fans: when did Kristen Bell complete her scenes? Could her cameo have been directed by someone other than Wes Craven, similar to the Stab footage in Scream 2? While details remain scarce, her comments have sparked plenty of speculation.
With Scream 4 set to release in April 2011, fans are left wondering what twist Ghostface has in store for Bell’s character.
